Colour Hotel Frankfurt
After arriving from Madrid and sorting out my ticket problems with the industrial strikes tomorrow I finally made my way into Frankfurt. I had all my luggage so looked for a cheap private room in close proximity to Frankfurt Main Hauptbahnhof train station. Last time I was here I stayed in the same location but in the upmarket Le Meridien. Tonight however I’d be briefly staying at the budget Colour Hotel in close proximity.
The hotel has a rather traditional entrance but the rooms have all had a modern renovation with some colour (obviously).
Wifi is utilised through a voucher system, they provide one code for one device and no more. Sufficient for my short stay but otherwise not ideal. It broke on me the first time so I had to request a second code. Room was more than adequate considering the cost.
Only ever saw one staff member at reception however they were all very helpful. I was able to get out and get some shopping done while in Frankfurt, much cheaper to buy (nearly anything) here than in Sweden. It was no longer departure the next day but the late afternoon, so no rush for my
SAS Lufthansa flight to Oslo then onto Sweden.
